Fall Shows

My fall craft show season has begun! I've already had my fobs (and all my other Girly Girl Bowtique goodies) at two small events. This Saturday kicks off the big events I have booked. If you are local to Richmond, VA you can find me at the Midlothian Day Festival on Saturday, October 20. My tent location is near the stage. Friday, Oct. 26 from 6-8 PM I'll be set up at Brandermill Church Preschool's Family Festival Night. I'm in the gym at Clover Hill HS on Nov. 3. This is one of the largest events in the area, and always a great show. Nov. 10 I'll be at Woodlake United Methodist Church Crafts & Cookies. Nov. 17 I'll be in Mechanicsville at the Redeemer Catholic Church Bazaar (another huge event). Come by and see me :) Not local... place your holiday gift orders early so you have plenty of time for their arrival. Fobs make great gifts for teachers, aids, bus drivers, babysitters, hostesses, secret pals, friends... you get the idea ! Photobucket

Welcome Spavin Mavens

Hello new and returning friends from the co op!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my wristlet key fobs.

You'll find a wide variety of fobs here, all hand sewn by me in my smoke free studio in an effort to make carrying your keys simple, chic, and fun while raising funds for our adoption fund at the same time.

I use 100% heavy duty cotton webbing and nickle plated lead free hardware to create my fobs. They are sewn in a comfortable 5.5" length that is perfect for fitting over your hand to carry on your wrist.

I have grouped my fob choices into three categories- fabric fobs (all of which can be embroidered), plain ribbon fobs (whose design I consider to be too complicated to effectively embroider over) and ribbon fobs that can be embroidered. You'll find links to each category in green at the top of the page.

I have selected a cotton webbing that I feel compliments the colors of the fabric/ribbon, but welcome your customization. I have often suggested additional colors that would look good- but can make any combination you'd like.

Many people give my fobs s gifts. They are the perfect token of appreciation for teachers, secret pals, babysitters, secretaries, hostesses and make great stocking stuffers. It's fun to select a fob that compliments the interests of your recipient. Don't see an animal, sport, symbol, item or color combination you desire? Let me know what you have in mind and I'll see what I can come up with. New fobs are often added as a result of a special request!

Thanks for taking the time to look around :)

Grab our Button- Update!!

Snow day here in central Virginia today!

Took advantage of the time to update the blog with the new modeled pictures. I now have an "In action" tab with pictures of the fobs in use and and I have a new button. If you have the old button, would you kindly 'grab' the new one?

Thanks!

'Bout time for an update

I haven't had a lot of time to focus on getting the blogsite advertised. Key fobs were very popular sellers for me at all of my fall craft shows. I was blessed to have had a successful and very hectic season of 19 craft shows. Most were very small school/church events, but I did have some larger annual events as well. Got to meet a lot of people and share my info.

I have started to schedule for the spring. There are not a lot of shows available. I have two so far. While I have 'down time' from the constant preparation of all my bow stuff for the shows I have decided to focus on getting all my new items photographed and up on my website and etsy site. I have booked a few models and thought that it would be a good idea to have my fobs modeled as well.

I selected a model from the agency I do most of my scheduling through and sent her two of my fobs last week. I just saw previews on the agency FB page tonight and WOW! Jamie did an awesome job...exactly what I was looking for. I can wait to get emailed the photos so I can update my blog and start some new advertising.
